Back to main page Wildlife viewing in Hayden and Lamar Valleys

Wildlife is abundant everywhere in Yellowstone and visitors are likely to see bison, elk and mule deer at close range. A combination of patience and timing can reveal bears, wolves, moose, coyotes, bighorn sheep, mountain goats and other species. Popular viewing areas are along Lamar Valley (east of Tower-Roosevelt) and Hayden Valley (south of Canyon Village).

At the bottom of the page are images of just three of Yellowstone's numerous waterfalls.
