We celebrated our 31st anniversary at a B&B in Chincoteague, a small island sandwiched between the coast of Virginia and the marshy island of Assateague, which is mainly a nature preserve. We stayed at the Channel Bass Inn, hosted by David and Barbara Wiedenheft, who are pictured. In July the wild ponies living on Assateague are herded across the channel to Chincoteague, where they are auctioned off to benefit the volunteer fire department. More photos of wild horses...
